ABOUT THE TEACHER:

Hi Lifelong Learners! 

My name is Chandler Domingos and I am a full time artist living and working in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I believe firmly that everybody is uniquely creative. I love to teach the fundamentals of art that encourage confidence in my daily art practice. 

I have been an artist for more than a decade and I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Arts with a major in Studio Art and Sculpture.

I am passionate about art, travel and memories and you will see this looking through my sketchbook! I can't wait to meet you and learn what your passions are.

ABOUT THE CLASS:

Have you ever been in awe of an artist's sketchbook and wished you could have one just like it?

Well, you can! A sketchbook is a magical time capsule and there is no right or wrong way to do it. But if you feel stuck and don't know how to start, I am here for you.

I am a professional artist, and my sketchbook is integral to my artistic practice but it is also FUN. I've kept a sketchbook for 15+ years filled with observations, imaginations, ideas and more. 

During the class we will cover:

• Materials and Sketching Methods
• How to Build your Sketching Muscles
• Subject Matter (when you're feeling artist block)
• Benefits of Keeping a Sketchbook

This class is for you if:

• You've never had a sketchbook
• You've kept up a sketchbook on/off
• You want to elevate your sketchbook

MATERIALS:
MATERIALS STUDENTS WILL USE IN CLASS:

For this class all you need is paper (loose or in a sketchbook), a 2B pencil and a black or blue pen.

STUDENTS WILL TAKE HOME:

I will ask you to draw inspiration from your surroundings. Trust me, you can find it anywhere you are at!

We will work on some still life sketches and different line techniques for practice.
