ABOUT THE CLASS:

You CAN made a tasty and tender gluten-free pie crust! This class will give you the skills to make holiday pies that are beautiful, easy, and gluten-free!

Chef Sunshine Flagg of The Culture Club presents and Chef Sunshine's Table will teach you the important techniques and ingredients to make the perfect gluten-free pie crust for your holiday pies. 

In this class, online attendees will learn how to make a gluten-free pie dough. You will also learn design and baking techniques that you will use over and over again to create beautiful holiday pies. By the end of class you will have 2 blind-baked pie crusts and enough dough to decorate and finish 2 pies. You will also receive Chef Sunshine's recipe for Choose Your Flavor Custard Pie.

Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned chef join us for a great evening of learning, baking, and fun! 


MATERIALS:
MATERIALS STUDENTS WILL USE IN CLASS:

Students should be prepared with the kitchen equipment and ingredient list. However, if you prefer to simply watch and take notes, you are welcome to do so!

-Large Mixing Bowl (or food processor with blade attachment)
-Medium Mixing Bowl
-Small Mixing Bowl
-Cheese Grater (or food processor with grater attachment)
-1-2 9” Pie Pans
-Parchment Paper
-Foil
-Pie Weights (or a bag of dried beans)
-Rolling Pin
-Spatula
-Pastry Brush (optional)
-Plastic Wrap or Ziplock Bag
-1-3 Cookie Cutters of your choice


STUDENTS WILL TAKE HOME:

You will leave this class with par-baked pie crust bottoms and enough pie crust/decoration to finish 2 pies!


AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT CLASS:

In addition to learning about the chemistry of the right ingredients and tricks and techniques to create the perfect gluten-free pie crust, you will receive Chef Sunshine's Choose Your Flavor Custard Pie recipe.

WHO:
Minimum age requirement: 18 or older (children are welcome with parental supervison)

This live-online class will take place via Zoom. Students will access the Zoom class link along with ingredients from their student profile once your purchase the course. | Learners may choose to work alongside me or simply watch and take notes.
