Self Publishing 101
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
While some individuals may dream of writing a book or even have it listed on their bucket list, I was not one of them. I had been writing blogs for over 16 years and had heard of some bloggers turning their work into books but this was not for me, or at least I thought.
Then one day as I was watching a show an idea hit me like a ton of bricks. In a two week time period, I had the book's layout planned in my head and my journey began. The idea of taking the time to find a publisher never really tickled my fancy. Instead, I planned to self-publish but as they say "life is the best teacher."
Listening to the "experts" I was told I needed a mentor to guide me through this process but after weeks of trying to find one, I came to the crossroads of walking away from this project or teaching myself. Frankly, I had spent too much time writing to retire my work so I flung myself into the self-publishing world, and now with 3 books under my belt, along with an international following, I am ready to share the skills I have learned through my own journey in self-publishing.
