The wooly mammoth class sheds light on the nuanced behaviors of systemic racism. With a focus on the North, the content will highlight passive-aggressive behaviors and arrogant rhetoric that encourages skewed perspectives. We’ll discuss the continual consequences caused by a lack of accountability and the complacency of privilege. Exploring various ways the ideology of Manifest Destiny has stripped humanity from American culture. During the class we’ll discuss:

This class is designed to honor the complexity of the Black experience and highlight the various obstacles some face. It is meant to create an awareness of the power of communication and interaction and how they may be exercised to oppress.
