Founder & Chief of Happiness
Well hello, there!! I’m Natalia, Founder and Chief of Happiness at Story and Level Up. I’m originally from Colombia. Over the last 20 years, I've fallen deeply in love with the culture, food and, most importantly, the people of Louisville, KY. My background is in Business Management and Marketing I got my degree from the University of Louisville (go Cards!), but I have a passion for loving and investing in people and community. I started my entrepreneurial journey as a crazy Colombian lady with a camera (ChocolateBox Photography) over a decade ago when my first child was born, followed by Story (Louisville’s first startup hub and coworking community dedicated to growing and bringing accessibility to the startup ecosystem in our city), through this experience, I earned my entrepreneurial stripes, learning lessons about scalability, fundraising, building a team, and an inspiring brand, but most importantly how to build community. Then came Level Up, (a modern education company helping women gain skills to develop their careers and explore their interests by giving content creators the tools they need to share their passion and knowledge live-online and on-demand in a curated marketplace and supportive community). A big part of my role as CEO is ensuring the company’s fidelity to our mission to connect, educate, and inspire women while achieving both long and short-term goals. Under my leadership, We have pivoted from a regional lifestyle business to a scalable tech company, Additional passion projects include volunteering as a board member for Actors Theater of Louisville, Wild Accelerator for female Founders and Tech-nique. I'm the wife of an incredibly smart man, and mom to two of the most amazing humans walking this Earth, a happy person, a sucky writer, a good friend and a big foodie. I never skip dessert and don’t exercise often, I like hot weather but fall and winter are my favorite seasons. I try to live every day one moment at a time and I believe mindfulness, respect, kindness, and compassion are the keys to happiness. As a mom, I want to be able to show my children that happiness lives within each of us and it is available at all times if you are mindful, kind and generous with yourself and others.
